List of Documents for Naturalization Application:

  1. Photocopy of your passport since becoming a permanent resident (all pages);
  1. Photocopy of Permanent Resident Card (front and back);
  1. 2 passport photographs
  1. 1 check in the amount of $675.00 ($595 application fee plus $80 biometrics fee payable to US CITIZENSHIP AND IMMIGRATION SERVICES – do not abbreviate
  1. Selective Service:
    1. If you are male and lived in the U.S. in a status other than as a lawful nonimmigrant between the ages of 18 and 26, you were required to register with the Selective Service – Please provide a copy of your registration; OR
    1. If you did not register with the Selective Service and you (1) are male, (2) are 26 years old or older, and (3) lived in the U.S. in a status other than as a lawful nonimmigrant between the ages of 18 and 26: submit a Status Information Letter from the Selective Service
  1. If you have taken any trips outside of the U.S. that lasted 6 months or more since becoming a Permanent Resident, submit evidence that you (and your family) continued to live, work, and/or keep ties to the United States, such as Federal Tax Returns for last 5 years, rent or mortgage payments, and pay stubs
  1. Arrests:
    1. If you have ever been arrested or detained by any law enforcement for any reason and charges were filed: submit an original or court-certified copy of the complete arrest record and disposition for each incident (dismissal order, conviction record or acquittal order)
    1. If you have ever been arrested or detained by any law enforcement for any reason and no charges were filed: submit an original official statement by the arresting agency or applicant court confirming that no charges were filed
  1. If you are applying for naturalization based on marriage to a US Citizen: submit (1) copies of spouse’s U.S. birth certificate, U.S. Naturalization Certificate, or U.S. Passport; (2) copy of marriage certificate; (3) copies of divorce decree/annulment/death certificate as proof of termination of all prior marriages for you and for your spouse; and (4) copies of documents referring to you and your spouse including joint tax returns, bank accounts, leases, mortgages, and/or children’s birth certificates.
